Entry Requirements by Program

Below are the entry requirements for admission to Maranatha University College. Please ensure you meet all requirements before submitting your application.

Higher National Diploma (HND) Programs

3-Year Program • Begins in September

HND Pharmacy Technician

Accredited by Pharmacy Council

This program provides practical and theoretical knowledge for students to work as pharmacy technicians in healthcare. Topics include pharmaceutical chemistry, pharmacology, drug formulation, and quality assurance.

WWASSCE Applicants
  • Passes not below C6 in three core subjects (English, Core Mathematics, Integrated Science)
  • Passes not below C6 in three elective subjects
  • Total aggregate should not exceed 36
SSSSCE Applicants
  • Passes in three core subjects (English, Core Mathematics, Integrated Science)
  • Passes not below C in three elective subjects
  • Total aggregate should not exceed 24
CCertificate II Applicants
  • Passes not below D in three core subjects (English, Core Mathematics, Integrated Science)
  • Passes not below credit in three relevant trade components
MMature Applicants
  • Must be at least 25 years at time of application (evidence required)
  • Five (5) credits at GCE 'O' Level including English & Core Mathematics
  • Documentation of relevant work experience
  • Must pass Departmental examination and/or interview

Bachelor's Degree Programs

4-Year Program • Begins in September

Bachelor of Arts in Theology

Undergraduate Degree Program

The BA in Theology program focuses on the study of the Christian religion, its beliefs, practices, and teachings. Students gain comprehensive understanding of the Bible, develop theological research skills, critical thinking, and communication abilities.

Admission Requirements
  • Senior High School Certificate or equivalent (WASSCE, GCE, IB, etc.)
  • Credit passes in at least five (5) subjects including English Language and Religious Studies (or relevant subjects)
  • Diploma in Theology or related field from accredited institution may also apply
  • May be required to pass entrance examination and/or interview

MA in African Christianity

Focuses on the history, theology, and practices of Christianity in Africa. Covers African church history, African theologies, contextualization of the gospel, African traditional religions, and Christianity and social issues in Africa.

Admission Requirements
  • A first degree in any field from a recommended university
  • OR a first degree in theology from a recognized university
  • Proof of ministry involvement
  • Pass admission interview

MA in Biblical Studies

Focuses on the study of the Bible and its interpretation. Covers Old Testament studies, New Testament studies, biblical languages, biblical theology, hermeneutics, and biblical exegesis.

Admission Requirements
  • A first degree in any field from a recommended university
  • OR a first degree in theology from a recognized university
  • Proof of ministry involvement
  • Pass admission interview

MA in Theological Studies

Provides advanced study in theology and related disciplines. Covers biblical studies, systematic theology, church history, Christian ethics, and pastoral ministry.

  • Proof of ministry involvement
  • Pass admission interview
